## Overview

The **Deposit Reconciliation report **shows which sales make up a deposit and which deposit contains a day’s sales. It answers the questions: "Why is my deposit this amount?" “What day is this deposit for?”

> ℹ️ Deposit Reconciliation report in the Dashboard is available to SpotOn Express and Worldpay Restaurant POS (RPOS) clients. It is not available to clients processing through TSYS.

## Setup

**No setup required. **

## How It Works

> ℹ️ Deposit dates account for weekends, bank holidays, and your batch cutoff time — a payment collected late at night may land in the next day's batch. If you use Faster Funding, you may see accelerated timing reflected here.

### Access the Deposit Reconciliation Report

1. Log in to your **[SpotOn Dashboard](https://dashboard.spoton.com/)**
2. From the left-hand menu, select **Reports → Accounting → Deposit Reconciliation**
3. For multi-location **SpotOn Express** accounts: Use the **Location Picker** (top) to select individual locations to compare.
4. Choose one of the two **tabs** that matches the data you're seeking:
  - **Deposits** —
    - Use the **date picker **(top right, defaulted to **Today**)
    - Each row is one deposit (settlement)
    - Click a deposit to see its breakdown: CC payments collected by fiscal day, other CC payments (eGift card issuances, VT payments, etc.), processing fees by card brand, other adjustments, and the final settled amount.
  - **Fiscal Days** —
    - Use the **date picker **(top right, defaulted to **Today**)
    - Displays one row per business day
    - Click a day to see: Order revenue, total payments collected, CC payments collected, and links to the deposit(s) that day's payments landed in.
    - Payments show as **Settled**, **Waiting to settle**, or **Failed**

## Frequently Asked Questions

**Why is the deposit less than the total sales?**
Only credit card payments become deposits — cash stays with you, and gift card redemptions are prefunded. The deposit is also net of processing fees.

**What does ‘net of processing fees’ mean?**
When SpotOn sends money to your bank (the “deposit”), SpotOn has already subtracted the credit card processing fees, holds, and adjustments from that amount, so:

- Total card sales
**minus** processing fees, holds, and adjustments
**=** deposit amount sent to the bank

That’s why the deposit will be smaller than the full credit card sales total you see in reports.

**Why did my deposit come in Monday instead of Friday?**
Deposits don't process on weekends or bank holidays — funds from Thursday/Friday batches deposit the next banking day.

**Why don’t I see the Deposit Reconciliation report?**
Deposit Reconciliation is available to SpotOn Express and Worldpay Restaurant POS (RPOS) clients only. Clients processing through TSYS don't have access to this report.
