## **Overview**
Manager cards allow employees to quickly log in and perform manager-authorized actions within the Front of House (FOH). These cards are linked to an employee profile in the Back of House (BOH) using the swipe code printed on the back of the card.
Once configured, manager cards can be used for:
- Manager overrides
- Clock-in and clock-out approvals
- Employee logins
- Authorization prompts
- Other manager-level functions
Manager cards are reusable and can be reassigned if needed.

## **Step-by-Step Instructions**
### **Configure a Manager Card in BOH**
1. Log in to the BOH.
2. Select **Employees**.
3. Locate and select the employee profile you want to configure.
4. Scroll to the **POS Location Assignments** section.
5. Select **Edit Assignments**.

### **Assign a Swipe Code to the Employee**
1. Under the desired organization or location, select the checkmark.
2. Locate the **Swipe Code** field.
3. Enter the numeric code printed on the back of the manager card.
- Most cards contain a 5-digit code.
4. Click outside the field to save.
5. Verify the green checkmark appears to confirm the update was saved successfully.

### **Verify Employee Permissions**
Before using the manager card, confirm the employee has the correct permissions assigned.
1. Open the employee profile.
2. Review the assigned **Job Positions**.
3. Verify all required manager privileges are enabled.

### **Using the Manager Card in FOH**
Once configured, the card can be used to:
- Log into FOH
- Approve manager overrides
- Approve early clock-ins or clock-outs
- Authorize restricted actions
Cards can be used through:
- The built-in MSR swiper on the POS
- A connected PAX device
When swiped, the system associates the card with the linked employee account.
If the employee has previously clocked in, swiping the card may automatically log them into the station.

### **Reassign or Reuse a Manager Card**
Manager cards can be reused if needed.
To reassign a manager card:
1. Return to the employee’s **Edit Assignments** section.
2. Remove the existing swipe code.
3. Assign the swipe code to another employee profile if needed.
> ⚠️ Removing the swipe code disconnects the manager card from the employee account, allowing the card to be reused elsewhere.

**Can one employee have multiple manager cards?**
No. Only one swipe code can be assigned per employee location assignment at a time.
However, employees may still have:
- Multiple job positions
- Multiple location assignments
