## **Step-by-Step Instructions**

### **Make Menu Items Tax Exempt**

> ℹ️ Taxes apply to most transactions in a restaurant. However, there are occasions when certain menu items are exempt from taxation. The most common reason is when the guest is a tax-exempt entity, such as a nonprofit organization or a government agency. A valid tax exemption certificate allows the guest to make tax-free purchases.
