## Overview
**Manage menu items at scale** from the SpotOn Dashboard. This guide focuses on bulk editing, deleting, and other list-view actions, with individual item edits available when needed. You can also use the AI Menu Assistant to save time.

## Bulk Edit Menu Items
### **Bulk Edit Items Manually**
1. Log in to your SpotOn [Dashboard](https://dashboard.spoton.com/)
2. From the left-hand menu, select **Menu** **& Tables** > **Items **
3. At the top of the Items page, toggle your view to **List**
4. Find the item(s) you want to edit
5. Click on any field to update it. The following item fields can be edited inline from the list view:
1. Name
2. Price
3. Category
4. Description
5. Modifier groups
6. When all of your updates are complete, review your changes
1. Updated item rows are highlighted with new values in blue
7. Click **Save changes**
> ℹ️ Use the item form to update item details not shown in the list view. To open the form, find the item you want to edit, click the **three-dot menu (⋮) **on the right side of the item row, and select **Edit item.** Be sure to save any pending changes before opening the item form.
### **Bulk Edit Items with AI Menu Assistant**
1. Log in to your SpotOn [Dashboard](https://dashboard.spoton.com/)
2. From the left-hand menu, select **Menu** **& Tables** > **Items **
3. At the top of the Items page, toggle the view to **List**
4. Input a prompt in the AI Menu Assistant dialog at the top of the page. Alternatively, click on a suggested action to get started
5. From the AI Menu Assistant chat in the right-hand sidebar, provide additional details as needed
6. When prompted, review changes in the table view
1. Updated item rows are highlighted with new values in blue
2. To make changes, click on any field in the table to update
7. Click **Save changes**

## **Bulk Delete Menu Items**
### **Bulk Delete Items from List View**
1. Log in to your SpotOn [Dashboard](https://dashboard.spoton.com/)
2. From the left-hand menu, select **Menu** **&** **Tables** > **Items**
3. At the top of the Items page, toggle the view to **List**
4. Select the checkbox next to each item to delete
5. Click **Delete (X) items** in the top-right
6. Confirm by selecting **Delete items**
> ⚠️ Deleted items cannot be recovered. Deleting an item does not affect past sales or reports — the item will remain in historical reporting but will be removed from your active menu.

## **Common Questions**
**What if my new or updated menu item isn’t showing on my POS devices?**
From your POS device, go to Settings and tap **Refresh. **This will sync menu updates to your device.
**Will deleting an item affect past orders or reports?**
No. The item will remain visible in historical reporting for accuracy.

## **Things to Know**
- Menu items must be assigned to a **category** to appear on POS devices.
- Today, only fields displayed in the list view can be edited from that view. To edit fields not shown in the table, toggle to the Grid view or open the item form.

## **Troubleshooting**
