# **Overview**

This article outlines how to configure Offline Mode on** **SpotOn Express POS and Kiosk devices. Offline Mode allows your POS or Kiosk to continue functioning during internet disruptions. Orders and payments are processed normally and automatically synced once the device reconnects.

> ⚠️ *Devices should only be placed in Offline mode in emergencies - keeping devices in offline mode for an extended period of time can result in loss of transactions and funding. Device must be connected and online in order to process transactions for payment during end-of-day procedures. For any further questions about Offline Mode on your POS, please reach out to SpotOn Support at (877) 814-4102.*

Key Information:

- Orders and payments continue; data syncs once the internet connection is restored.
- Orders are still sent to the **kitchen printer** or **KDS**.
- If the internet is working but **payments can't be processed**, offline mode won’t activate, and new orders cannot be captured.
- Offline Mode is not available for RPOS devices.
