## **Overview**

This section explains how to manage Restaurant POS (RPOS) open orders during the End of Day closeout process. Review each open order, then either complete payment or void and close the order so the End of Day screen shows there are no open orders remaining.

## **Step-by-Step Instructions**

**Action**


1. From the** End of Day** page, in the Open Orders section, tap an open order to view
2. This will display the open order, and a **green banner** advising you are working on **end of day**

> ℹ️ Depending on the situation, you may need to complete the order, or void it.

3. A > To complete the order, apply payment as you would normally

- When complete, tap the **green banner **at the top of the screen to return to the **End of Day **page

3. B >  To void and close the order, select all the items in the order, and tap **Void.**

- Select the reason for the void from the pop up menu
- When all items have been voided, tap the top of the order to access the ticket commands menu, and select **Close **
- When complete, tap the **green banner **at the top of the screen to return to the **End of Day **page

4. The **End of Day** screen will now show <span style="color: #36b37e">**There are no open orders**</span>

## **FAQs**

**What should I do if there are no open orders?**  
If there are no open orders, skip this section and continue to the next step in the End of Day closeout process.

**Can End of Day be completed while orders are still open?**  
No. All open orders must be completed, voided, or closed before End of Day can be finalized.

**How do I return to the End of Day screen after resolving an order?**  
Tap the **green banner** at the top of the screen to return to the **End of Day** page.

**Should I complete payment or void the order?**  
Complete payment if the guest is paying for the order. Void and close the order only when the order should not be completed as a sale.

## Troubleshooting

- **End of Day cannot be completed:** Verify that all open orders have been completed, voided, or closed.
- **An order still appears in Open Orders:** Open the order from the End of Day screen and confirm the order has either been paid in full or all items have been voided and the ticket has been closed.
- **Unable to void or close an order:** Confirm the logged-in user has the appropriate Job Position permissions. Manager approval may be required.
- **Need to return to the End of Day screen:** Tap the **green banner** at the top of the order screen.
- **Order was paid but still appears open:** Confirm the payment was applied successfully and the check was fully closed before returning to End of Day.
- **End of Day already ran:** The previous business day cannot be reopened. Review previous-day orders from **List Orders** by selecting **Closed Orders**. If action is needed on a settled payment, process a refund if eligible.
