# Vaccination Status Checkbox Setup

SpotOn Reserve makes it quick and easy for you to require your guests to advise their vaccination status during the online reservation process.  Please note, this only applies to guest one, and not the whole party.  This feature is optional.

### Written Guide

**To require a guest to confirm their vaccination status prior to booking a reservation**:

1. Log into your SpotOn Reserve web portal
2. Navigate to Settings
  - Select **Party Flags**
3. Scroll down to the Custom Party Flag section
4. Click **Add ( + ) **button
5. Enter the name of the custom flag, in this case **Confirm Vaccinated**
6. Select the modes **In-Store **and **Required Online**
7. Click **Save**
8. Confirm that the party flag has been enabled by verifying that the *red disabled button* is visible
9. To confirm guests are required to verify that they’re vaccinated, go to your website and click the **Book Reservation **button
10. Create a reservation, filling out the reservation form with all of the required details
  - Press the **Book button**, without ticking the **Confirm Vaccinated** checkbox
  - Confirm that the booking tool will not allow reservations to be made without checking the Confirm Vaccinated box

> ℹ️ When a guest ticks the **Confirm Vaccinated **checkbox, they will be allowed to complete the reservation

> ✅ The host will see the custom party flag abbreviation **CV** on the reservation bubble indicating that the guest has confirmed their vaccination status

> 📝 Note: The **Confirmed Vaccinated **custom party flag only applies to the guest who creates the reservation, not the whole party

# Vaccination Status Checkbox FAQs

### Will the box be mandatory for a reservation?

The merchant has the option to require mandatory vaccination status acknowledgement for reservations, however, SpotOn Reserve** will not** have this option set as a default setting.

### Will vaccination status information send to the SpotOn Restaurant POS? 

This feature only exists within SpotOn Reserve.

### How do I pull their reservation history and pull a list of unvaccinated reservations?

Merchants must go through their **daily reservation history** and make note of all reservations that did not have the custom **Confirm Vaccinated** party flag attached to the reservation. They may also run a report using party flag **status **in order to determine the total amount of unvaccinated guests.

### When a reservation is made, will it specifically ask for each person’s vaccine status?

No, the reservation will only show the vaccination status of the main guest that made the reservation.

### How do I turn the feature on/off? 

Merchants may view their custom party flags and make any desired adjustments in the Web Portal.  For setup, please see the above tutorial video.
